BINUS @Semarang Holds Final Language Ambassador 2026 to Strengthen the Language Culture of the Young Generation

Semarang – In the midst of increasingly rapid globalization and digital transformation, the young generation’s challenges lie not only in mastering technology, but also in the ability to communicate effectively, have character and have a strong cultural awareness. Changing times present the risk of fading love for Indonesian and regional languages, while also requiring mastery of foreign languages ​​as a global competency. As a form of commitment to developing student talents, BINUS @Semarang is holding the 2026 BINUS @Semarang Language Ambassador Final as a forum to produce representatives of the younger generation who have communication skills and superior personalities. This activity is an actualization space for students to make real contributions through language skills, leadership and community service.

Through this event, the finalists are expected to be able to make a real contribution in strengthening language culture in society through the implementation of Trigatra Bangun Bahasa, namely prioritizing Indonesian, preserving regional languages, and mastering foreign languages. These values ​​are realized in work, service programs, and various initiatives that have an impact on the surrounding environment.

The BINUS @Semarang Language Ambassador Final Series was carried out through a comprehensive selection process starting from the coaching stage to competency evaluation. The finalists took part in a language proficiency test through the UKBI test, English and regional language skills testing, Krida program presentations, talent and arts displays, as well as deepening national insight based on the spirit of cultural and religious diversity. The entire process is designed to form a person who is not only fluent in language, but also has integrity, social empathy and leadership.
