RI 80th Anniversary: Minister of Public Works Emphasize Five Basic Values of the Ministry of Public Works

Jakarta, August 15, 2025-Integrity, sincerity, until sincerity in carrying out the role of the basic values that must be held by every person of the Ministry of Public Works (PU). This fundamental value is the main message emphasized by the Minister of Work of Uumum (PU), Dody Hanggodo, as the basis for contributing to a more advanced Indonesian development.

This affirmation was conveyed by Minister Dody in a joint prayer event for the country held at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Public Works, Jakarta, on Thursday (8/14). According to him, every individual in the ministry has an important role that must be carried out with full honor.

“The Ministry of Public Works must lead with sincerity, be a lamp in the midst of limitations, build integrity as the main fortress, understand the role and play roles with full sincerity, and maintain quality as our honor,” Minister Dody said in his remarks.

The joint prayer event itself is part of the 80th anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day. This activity was attended by all high leaders of Associate and Pratama, administrator officials, members of the Dharma Wanita, to the younger generation (Genmud) of the Ministry of Public Works, both luring and online.

In line with the message of the Minister, Director General of Bina Marga, Roy Rizali Anwar, who was also the chairman of the committee, stated that the celebration of independence was a momentum for self -reflection. According to him, this event is expected to strengthen the motivation and integrity of the employees.

“With the holding of this event, we can bring our motivation and contemplation as human beings with integrity and always present God in every step of our duties,” said Director General Roy. He added, the Independence Anniversary was the right time to be grateful for God’s gift and strengthen the determination to develop Indonesia for the better.

To enrich the atmosphere of contemplation, this event was also filled with the reading of the poem “I See Indonesia” by Bung Karno by Peri Sandi and the motivational session with the theme “Sincere, Tulus, and Quality for Indonesia

By practicing these five basic values, the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, believes his ministry can continue to generate togetherness, optimism, and greater sense of responsibility in every infrastructure development project for the nation.
