During the NATARU Holiday, KAI Services Encourages Motorists to Park in the Official Parking Area


Yogyakarta – Anticipating the density of vehicles that will be parked at the station during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holiday seasons, Resparking by KAI Services urges motorists to leave their vehicles in the station’s official parking area to avoid unwanted incidents if the vehicle is parked in an illegal parking area.

KAI Services Corporate Communication Manager, Nyoman Suardhita, said, one of the things that can be avoided by leaving vehicles in unofficial parking areas is parking rates that do not comply with local Regional Regulations (Perda). For this reason, Nyoman added, Resparking by KAI Services as one of the station’s official parking managers applies parking rates that are in accordance with local regulations with comfortable and safe parking area facilities.

“KAI Services as the station’s official parking manager has implemented regulations in accordance with the rules that apply in each region. In terms of security and comfort, we provide passengers with a sense of security when leaving their cars and motorbikes in the KAI Services parking area. Passengers can calmly enjoy traveling by train to tourist destinations.” said Nyoman in his official statement on Tuesday (30/12).

Rudi Sasono, one of the drivers who left his vehicle at Tugu Station, said that he prefers official parking areas where the rates are clear and the safety of his vehicle is guaranteed. “I prefer official parking at the station rather than parking outside the station where sometimes the rates are not normal. Apart from that, the safety of my motorbike is also guaranteed.” Rudi said.

Tugu Station, Yogyakarta itself has a parking area of ​​7,232.20 m² with a capacity of 1,300 motorbikes and 152 cars. Meanwhile, Lempuyangan Station has a land area of ​​1,768.00 m² with a capacity of 355 motorbikes and 12 cars. The parking area for North Lempuyangan Station has a capacity of 600 motorbikes and 10 cars.
