K3 Priority, Pelindo Multi Terminal Applying the “Fit to Work” program

Medan, September 2025 – PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT), Subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), which is engaged in the field of nonpetiquette terminal services, reinforces its commitment to work safety culture by implementing the “fit to work” program. This program is run in line with the transformation of ports in the Pillar Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) as an effort to ensure the physical fitness and health of operational workers before and after running work shifts.

VP Pelindo Multi Terminal Corporate Communication VP, Farid Chairmawan said, the fit to work program is a routine health check that aims to ensure the optimal conditions of operators and operational workers before carrying out their duties. The examination is carried out by medical personnel by checking blood pressure, oxygen levels (O2) in the blood, body temperature, the effect of alcohol to the history of drug consumption in the last 12 hours. The results of the examination were recorded through the medical record platform, which recorded the status of “fit” or “unfit” to work.

At present, this program has been implemented in several branches in the Pelindo Multi Terminal environment, including: Belawan, Dumai, Sheet, Tanjung Emas, Tanjung Intan, Jamrud Nilam Mirah, Bima, Gresik, Tanjung Wangi, Trisakti, and Bagendang Bumiharjo, and it is planned that this program can be implemented in all branches.

By ensuring that workers are in a fit condition before and after work, the company makes a real contribution to creating optimal and safe operational services, both for workers and customers. This can directly contribute to increasing productivity, operational efficiency, and most importantly can reduce the potential for work accidents.
