KAI Logistics Distribution of 1,350 Tons of Rail for National Railway Infrastructure

KAI Logistik, a subsidiary of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), through the KALOG Pro service segment, is strengthening its contribution in supporting the development of national logistics, especially in the delivery of large and heavy cargo. KAI Logistics began shipping 1,000 type R.54 steel rail rods with a total weight of 1,350 tons. The steel rails will be used for the railway infrastructure rejuvenation program in the form of replacing rails, to ensure the smoothness and optimization of rail transportation, especially in the Tanjung Karang area.

Riyanta, Director of Business Development at KAI Logistik, said, “Through KALOG Pro, KAI Logistik takes a role in handling large and heavy cargo delivery needs with precision and reliability. “Deliveries are carried out using 27 sliding trailer trucks and 1 CDD truck, with a distribution route from the Payakabung DJKA Warehouse to the Rejosari Emplacement. The entire delivery process is carried out in a measured and controlled manner to ensure timeliness, safety and distribution quality in accordance with applicable standards.
