Iqbal Tamher, said that the Pandansimo Bridge was designed to strengthen regional resilience to disasters and in line with the vision of the Ministry of Public Works: Building a strong, adaptive and sustainable infrastructure.
“From the technical side, this bridge utilizes modern construction technology such as light and strong Corrugated Steel Plate (CSP), Lead Rubber Bearing (LRB) as an earthquake damper, and mechanically stabilized earth wall (MSE wall) for land efficiency, and mortar foam to reduce structural burden,” explained Iqbal Tamher.
Iqbal Tamher added, currently the Pandansimo Bridge, which adopted local cultural elements such as nitik batik motifs and mountains in the gate and street lights, is still in the process of road safety audits to ensure that all elements of the bridge and the connecting road meets the safety, comfort, and smooth traffic standards.
