Prophet’s Birthday Holidays: 15,465 People Use Train, Kertapati Station Most Crowd

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Palembang Regional Division III recorded an increase in the number of passengers during the long weekend, to coincide with the long holiday commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday which lasted for five days, from 4 to 8 September 2025.

Until 16.00 WIB today (8/9) as many as 15,465 passengers were recorded using train services until September 8, 2025. The amount is accumulated data up and down passengers at various KAI Divre III Palembang KAI Working Areas stations.

The details of passenger data at the passenger train departure stations are as follows:

1. Kertapati Station: 6,819 passengers
2. Payakabung Station: 163 Passengers
3. Prabumulih Station: 864 passengers
4. Muara Enim Station: 1,326 passengers
5. All: 1,773 passengers
6. Tebing Tinggi Station: 647 passengers
7. Padang City Station: 10 Passengers
8. Lubuklinggau Station: 3,859 passengers

“This passenger volume data shows the increasing interest of the community makes the train as a mainstay mode of transportation for traveling. Kertapati Station and Lubuklinggau Station are still a station that dominates the density of passengers to take a vacation on a long weekend.”
