Students Become Agents of Change: Maxy Academy Encourages Social Entrepreneurship in P2MW LLDIKTI Region II
The number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia is still in the range of 3.5% of the total population – far from the 5% ideal threshold needed to create an inclusive and competitive economy.
Realizing the strategic role of students as a generation of solutions carriers, LLDIKTI Region II held the agenda “Strengthening Learning & Student Affairs through the assistance of the preparation of the Proposal of the Student Development Program (P2MW)”, presenting the Maxy Academy as one of the main speakers.
Isaac Munandar, CEO & Co-Founder of Maxy Academy, sharing a journey to build Maxy Academy and how social entrepreneurship approaches can help students design real solutions for challenges around them.
In front of participants from more than 25 universities throughout South Sumatra, Isaac stressed the importance of equipping students with the mindset of entrepreneurs and access to supporting ecosystems.
“P2MW is not only about business proposals, but about instilling mindset to create impacts. We are not forming ordinary businessmen, but young Changemaker who can build sustainable solutions,” Isaac said.
Maxy Academy also introduced the applied approach they had developed with partners such as TBN Indonesia and TBN Alliance, which had been actively fostering students and prospective Sociopreneur in designing social mission -based businesses.
Through this session, the participants were encouraged to see entrepreneurship not as a mere career path, but as a means to create meaningful changes in the community.
With proper support and assistance, P2MW is an important catalyst to expand the social entrepreneurship movement among students – to form a new generation of young entrepreneurs who are ready to answer the challenges of the times.
